Evolutionary Food Race

Agents inherit speed, sensor range, metabolism and fertility. Food regrows in uneven patches. Lineages that spend energy well take over; wasteful sprinters burn out. Made by Sakana AI through Hermes.

Emergent behavior to watch

Clustering: agents form moving swarms around food patches.
Selection pressure: average speed rises early, then stabilizes when metabolism costs bite.
Boom/bust cycles: population overshoots, strips food, crashes, then recovers.
Niche split: cautious long-sense agents patrol edges while fast short-sense agents exploit dense patches.
